System HD Avatar

Walksnail Avatar HD Mini Kit is a digital FPV kit for compatible FPV drones. The kit includes a camera, VTX video transmitter, antennas, and cables for transmitting a digital video signal during hobby, training, and sports flights, provided it is compatible with the specific FPV system.

The system uses the H.265 codec and supports FPV image transmission at resolutions up to 1080p. Actual image quality and latency depend on settings, compatible equipment, radio environment conditions, and the drone configuration.

Dual-antenna design

The VTX uses two antennas for the operation of the digital FPV system. Before installation, it is necessary to check the compatibility of the antennas, connectors, mounting, and frequency settings.

Single-board design, 16 g weight

The VTX has a single-board design, weighs 16 g according to the manufacturer, and has 25.5x25.5 mm mounting holes. This format is suitable for compatible FPV builds, provided the appropriate mounting is used.

Latency

The system supports high and standard frame rate modes. In high frame rate mode, the average latency is stated by the manufacturer as 22 ms.

8 GB built-in storage

The Avatar video transmitter has 8 GB of built-in storage, which is used for video recording in supported 1080p or 720p modes without installing a separate memory card in the VTX.

OLED displays

Compatible Avatar system goggles may use two OLED microdisplays with HD 1080p resolution.

Canvas mode

OSD display in Canvas mode is supported for compatible systems, including Betaflight, KISS, INAV, and ArduPilot, provided the flight controller is configured accordingly.

Goggle format and field of view

Compatible Avatar goggles have a compact format and a 46° field of view according to the manufacturer.

Focus adjustment

Compatible Avatar goggles include focus adjustment. Before use, it is necessary to check individual compatibility with the user’s eyesight and setup requirements.

Distance measurement mode

In a compatible configuration, a mode for displaying the distance between the drone and goggles may be supported. Availability of this function depends on the hardware version, firmware, and system settings.

For power supply, it is recommended to use a source with suitable voltage and current parameters. If a 6S battery is used, a capacitor must be installed at the power input. Recommended capacitor parameters: over 50 V / 47 µF. Exceeding the allowed voltage may cause overheating or device damage.

Use of the video transmitter must comply with local rules and permitted parameters for radio frequency equipment.
